WHAT:
A residential summer
program for boys and girls
8-13 years
old.
WHY:
To provide middle-grade
children from various backgrounds
an opportunity for recreation,
cross-cultural education, peace-making skills and non-violent alternatives
to conflict management.
HOW:
Children spend four days and
three nights at Resurrection Center, living in double
rooms, enjoying nutritious meals, making music, and
participating in games, swimming,
canoeing, nature
hikes, camp fires, peace education and friend-making. A staff of
trained adult and young-adult counselors directs and supervises all
activities. 2007
marks the thirteenth anniversary of the founding of the Summer Program for
Children, at Resurrection Center.
